Introduction

The Korean Journal of Policy Studies (KJPS) is a peer-reviewed academic journal that publishes original articles on a broad range of issues in public administration and public policy.

The journal is published three times a year by Graduate School of Public Administration (GSPA), Seoul National University. It has been published since 1986, and GSPA is among the most prestigious schools in Public Administration and Public Policies in Asia. KJPS is an accredited journal by National Research Foundation of Korea (NRF).

Review and Publication Procedure

• Publication Dates

KJPS is issued three times a year, on April 30, August 31 and December 31

• Deadlines for Manuscript Submission

Authors may submit manuscripts at any time. Deadlines for manuscript submission are February 10th for the first issue (April 30), June 10th for the second issue (August 31), and October 10th for the third issued (December 31).

• Appointment of Reviewers

The editorial board appoints three expert reviewers for each manuscript. Anyone who has a special relationship with the author shall not be appointed as a reviewer.

• Review and Revision of Manuscripts

Reviewers will evaluate manuscript and recommend one of the following: (1) publish with only minor editorial revision, (2) publish after substantial revision, (3) re-evaluate after substantial revision, or (4) do not publish.

• Proofreading and Printing

Once a manuscript is accepted for publication, it will be copyedited and then returned to the author for approval and final changes. The final version will be proofread by the author and the editorial assistant.
