A Short History of JPS
Journal of Policy Studies(JPS), a scholarly journal quarterly published by Graduate school of Public Administration (GSPA) at Seoul National University, has been the premier journal in the field of public policy and administration research, theory, and practice for more than 30 years. The GSPA is among the most prestigious schools in public administration and public policy in Asia and among the top-ranked universities in the world (11 in the 2021 QS World University Ranking). JPS is a SCOPUS and KCI indexed journal, accredited by National Research Foundation of Korea (NRF), and submissions for the journal go through a rigorous double-blind review process.
Aims and Scope
JPS seeks original research that draws on new theories and that provides insightful empirical and experimental analyses of public policy and administration, politics, and society, and the government as well as rigorous research that makes pioneering contributions to comparative policy research. JPS welcomes interdisciplinary topics about administration reform, policy innovation, governance, and development issues around the world as well as interdisciplinary academic perspectives and outlooks from political science, economics, sociology, psychology, cultural studies, and other administrative sciences. It seeks manuscripts of the highest caliber that address an important research question through rigorous quantitative analysis, case study, and systematic review. JPS has a special interest in studies that use the Korean case to address major theoretical or empirical issues in public policy and administration.
